iSkysoft Video Converter App Reviews

Why does iMovie need to fill the 60 gigs left on my internal drive in my trashcan powermac with temporary files when editing a 5 minute movie? I don’t know, but this program is easy to use, and can crop, trim, merge, and convert my videos reliably, without the headaches of imovie. Just take the time to tell it where to put the finshed file, and in what format.

I have tried many video converters in the past but I usually have issues with syncing the video codec with the audio codecs. iSkysoft was the only program capible of doing this without problems. It is super easy to use. I just drag and drop my VOB files and choose the format I wish to convert to. I can even link the videos together with seemless transition by selecting merge all videos button. I like it so much I reccomended it to my mother to use to convert all her home videos to files which play on all devices. Very good, no glitches, super simple, no ads.

Its easy to use and produces better results than any other converter that Ive used. You can do most conversions without degrading video quality, something other converters cant do since they decode and re-encode for every conversion. It hasnt failed in any way for me. If youre one of those people who are willing to spend a little money on a Mac because "it just works," then you will be happy to have spent money on this application.

Does what I want when I want and is simple to use and generally very quick.

I bought the app for Mac… not sure why the app from the apple store costs $10 less than the app you can download from the website (anybody knows?) but to me it looks great! Super fast and I can feed it with any format! Yeah, recommneded

I recently switch to mac was a windows user for ages.. Used this app last night to convert my home videos to MOV so I could add videos to my Photos, worked flawlessly 82Gigs converted in about 2 hours. Worth every penny, I would definetly reccomend this app!

I had 8mm videos (vob file extension) that I wanted to convert to mp4 format to enable playing on QuickTime, iTunes, and on our other Apple mobile devices. The App was fast, provided good quality conversion, and the converted file was half the size as the originals. The video convertor also edits videos (trim unwanted segments), and can merge mutliple videos. The App can convert from and to most any format. I would highly recommend purchasing this App as I had tried other free apps but none were as powerful and easy to use.

The codecs and final quality are good. But, some basics commands could be better created. I think that with some basics updates in commands and buttons the software would be a very great tool.

Please, fix it asap because isn’t working anymore on Yosemite. I tried all solutions (reinstall, open in other mac….etc). The App just Start and Closes. Please, help!!!!!!

It specifically stated that this version supports VOB files, however it does not. They have separated that function into th delux version. Since I purchased this app specifically for that purpose, I am a little unhappy. Otherwise this is a very valueable application. I still purchased the Delux version, though. THis is surely the most universal of all that I have every used. I do recommend purchasing the Delux version though direct from the website.

This should be 4.5 stars, but iTunes wont allow for half stars! Great conversion tool. Easy to use and supports so many different formats… even Flac. My only complaint is small. I hate that I have to set my destination everytime I use the app. There is no way to create a default destination other than the applications own folder.

This is so much faster than any other converter I have used. It is so easy to use. Just select in batches all the avchd videos you want to convert and drag into work area. Click HD MOV and convert. It will virtually mimic the original in file size and quality and then iMovie will happily import the MOV files.

This used to be an awesome app, but the 4.4.4 version doesn’t work. It crashes as soon as you open it, and the “support” hasn’t yet been helpful. Don’t get this app, until they fix what they broke.

I use a Mac and it is great for converting to Apple TV

I have been using this converter now for a few months and it has really saved my behind. It is a flexible and reliable system which makes converting your media a cinch. Highly recommend it.

W większości przypadków działa poprawnie. Niestety, dość często pliki MKV po konwersji kodekiem H.264 tracą synchronizację dźwięku i wymagają odpowiedniego przesunięcia ścieżki dźwiękowej. Most cases is working fine. Relativelly often H.264 coded MKV files lose their lips synchronization, so the audio track must be shifted approprietly after conversion is done.
